What is biblical gluttony

Voracious is having a huge appetite:Many of the arguments used against smoking and drinking, such as health and addiction, apply equally to overeating.We are often quick to label smoking and drinking as sins, but for some reason gluttony is accepted or at least tolerated.Gluttony, one of the seven deadly sins, is the sin associated with an unhealthy indulgence in material delights, usually food.The apostle john, king solomon, and other biblical authors suggest that withholding one's own goods or having the power to do good and not doing.

When paul wrote titus, he mentions how cretans are liars, evil beasts, and lazy gluttons..He loves you, and he doesn't want to see you harm your health.Do not crave his delicacies, for that food is deceptive.Furthermore, gluttony is presented as an ongoing practice.Let's take a look at what the bible says.

Woe to you, o land, whose king is a lad and whose princes feast in the morning.Be not among drunkards or among gluttonous eaters of meat, for the drunkard and the glutton will come to poverty, and slumber will clothe them with rags.The bible says, you are not your own;Gluttony seems to be a sin that christians like to ignore.The issue is not enjoyment of food, but excess and waste.
